| Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
and accepts applications exclusively through the Electronic Residency
Application Service (ERAS) from the Association of American Medical Colleges.
An ERAS application requires three letters of recommendation, a transcript and a Dean's letter. Based
upon review of the application documents, applicants are invited for personal
interviews with our faculty and residents. Spouses are encouraged to
accompany the applicants for this visit to Waco. Interviews begin in early
October. The Resident Selection Committee, composed of resident and
faculty membership, determines the final rank order list based on a scoring
system with academic records and personal interviews weighted equally.
We seek residents who are well prepared, both academically and
personally, for the training program and who show evidence of genuine interest
in the welfare of patients.
If you have any questions regarding the application process feel free to
contact us by phone at 1-800-424-8008 or via E-mail at coordinator@wacofpc.org

Why did I choose
Waco?
"The people, the people, the people. My wife hit it
off with the other wives. We wanted a place with some acreage. We bought a 3
bdrm/2bath on 13 acres for what an apartment in Houston
costs."
Ben Edwards, Chief
Resident, 2004-2005 |
